Bookmark the site. Starting Monday, May 4th, Tony Eldridge's The Samson Effect will be released to this blog, chapter by chapter, one chapter per week. This is your opportunity to read at no cost the action adventure novel that Clive Cussler calls a "First rate thriller brimming with intrigue and adventure."
This is not an excerpt, but the whole book, all 29 chapters, a week at a time. Each week, readers can post questions, reviews, suggestions, and comments on that week's post. While the author will not provide spoilers, he will take an active role in the discussion of the unfolding story, its marketing, and the writing process. This is a rare opportunity to take a ride with the author through his book and have those questions that readers always have while reading a new book answered.
So, why has Tony Eldridge decided to release The Samson Effect in a free format in a serial blog?
Great Question. There are several answers that conspired to culminate in this decision:
- To create an interactive experience between the reader and author. This is not simply a forum that the reader can sign into and chat with the author; this is a conversation that happens as the story unfolds.
- To increase awareness of the book as a major Hollywood producer who has acquired the film rights works to put the story of The Samson Effect on the Silver Screen.
- To increase awareness of the book for the current print copies (Hardcover and Paperback).
In addition to the serial release of The Samson Effect, the site will also share interesting facts about the book that you can't get in the book. For example, Eldridge's fiction created a scientific discovery that scientists in real life moved a step closer to discovering soon after the book's publication. When that part of the story is serialized, then the author will share this colliding of "Fact vs. Fiction".
The author also took great pains in staying true to historical events. Historical events were intertwined with Eldridge's fiction to make an implausible tale plausible. Many of these events that melt into the background of the story will be brought to center stage during the serialization as the author shares these interesting facts.

- Online Review from BiblioHistoria: Read one of the earliest reviews of The Samson Effect where BiblioHistoria says, "I have been waiting for The Samson Effect to be completed since June when I read the first three chapters and pre-viewed it," the reviewer writes.
